My Three-Step Skincare Routine
If you've been following my blog or subscribe to my newsletter, then you know my sister-in-law is the greatest gift giver of all time (G.G.G.O.A.T.). Seriously, it's like she has a sixth sense or something for detecting what I need before I need it.
It was true with my Ink + Volt planner and it's true with with the Minimo skincare set she gifted me last Christmas. Lately I'd been looking to adopt a new skincare regimen to get rid of dark spots and acne scars. And after hearing her rave reviews about Minimo, I thought I'd give the all-natural, Black-owned a company a try.
And voila, just like that their skincare bundle set appeared under like magic.
Now I will tell you this ... never have I been so excited to wash my face in my LIFE! I started with the Glow Skin Brightening Facial Scrub in the Lemon Cake scent, which smells so good I want to eat it every time.
Made with pure cane sugar, turmeric and raw Manuka honey, this scrub is gentle enough to use every day and does wonders for diminishing dark spots. I noticed a difference in less than Better yet, you can also use it as a natural exfoliant for your lips, hands, elbows ... basically any rough part of your body. And it works! Your skin will feel as smooth as a baby's butt.
And if that's not enough, I follow up the scrub with their Acne Control Facial Serum because adult acne is a doozy, y'all. What I love about the serum is that it's not sticky and non-oily. And wouldn't you know it, I haven't had a break out since I started using it. Eek!
Now to finish out my new three-step skincare regimen, I use the Honeydew Day & Night Moisture Cream. Made with organic matcha green tea, this fast-absorbing moisturizer also fights acne-causing bacteria. And just a dab will do ya, making for a long-lasting cream you'll look forward to using every day.
So there you have it. If you also suffer from adult acne, or you're just looking for a fast and easy skincare routine, check out Minimo. Pro tip: their skincare bundle set includes all of the above products, plus a mud mask and charcoal facial scrub for $60 ... and is so worth it!
